Gurukul was temporarily established in Year 1890 and on the occasion of Vijayadashami 1916. it was systematically started running and registered under British Government Late Thakur Krishna Bahadur Singh Pd Shri Ramavatar, Sharmaji in association with Acharya Rajendra Prasad, His Brother Mahendhra Prasad and Maulana Majrahul Haque.

The Principal of Gurukul’s Ramawtar Sharma became Purohit of first President of India Dr Rajendra Prasad.

The Gurukul Organisation has 21 Bigha land. It has nurtured freedom fighters Mahatma Gandhi visited several times and actively participated in Achutodhar karyakram organized at Gurukul That time there was two separate zones for girls and boys. It was fully residential They studied upto graduation level in Sanskrit medium.

The principal of Kanya Gurukul Kaushalya Devi was also a a freedom fighter and was arrested by British Government and languished in 1946 in Bhagalpur Central Jail.
